Durham man wanted in slaying surrenders

A Durham man sought in connection with a March slaying surrendered to police Tuesday morning.

Michael Tyree Brown, 19, of Massey Avenue, was charged with murder in the March 16 shooting death of Daniel Evans.

Evans, 25, of Raleigh, was slain inside Evans Mini Mart, near Linwood and Alston avenues.

Police arrested Rashaun Lamont Mason, 22, of Naples Place, the day after the shooting. He remains in the Durham County jail without bond.

Police are still searching for a third suspect in the case, Christopher Wayne McGill, 38, of Willowdale Drive.
