Durham man dies after shots fired into home

An 18-year-old man died Monday after after shots were fired into his home in the 600 block of Lee Street on Sunday night, Durham police said.

Police said the shooting happened about 9:45 p.m., and the bullets were fired from outside the home. The victim, identified as Rakwon Smith, was taken to a nearby hospital.

No charges have been filed, and police are now investigating the case as a homicide.
