Durham issues alert in search for man suspected of shooting deputy

The Durham County Sheriff's Office on Wednesday asked again for help to find a man suspected of shooting an off-duty deputy shot on Nov. 14.

Armand Lewis-Langston, 23, of Durham, was arrested within days of the shooting. He was being held without bond in the Durham County jail on charges of attempted murder, conspiracy to commit murder and assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury.

A second suspect, Jerry Lamont Harris Jr., 26, of Durham, faces the same list of charges. He is currently on probation after serving a sentence in federal prison and is considered armed and dangerous.

Harris is a black man, 6'1" tall and about 184 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair. He was last seen operating a black Acura. Anyone with information is asked to call the Durham County Sheriff's Office at 919-560-0826 or call 911.
