Durham County opposes bow hunting on Sundays

The Durham County Board of Commissioners passed a resolution Monday opposing a state proposal to change wildlife regulations.

The change would have allowed bow hunting on private property on Sundays.

Commissioners unanimously decided that the change was not in the best interest of the county. Their resolution will now be sent on to Durham legislators.

The General Assembly is expected to take up the issue later this year.
