Durham Chick-fil-A employees targeted in string of robberies
Durham police are searching for two suspects involved in a series of robberies targeting Chick-fil-A employees at drive-thru windows over the past week.
In three different robberies, one of the suspects approached a Chick-fil-A employee in the drive-thru, took their money belts, and fled.
Three robberies:
- March 14: North Roxboro location. A suspect stole a money belt from an employee and fled on foot eastward on Carver Street. No injuries were reported.
- March 15: Hillsborough Road location. Two employees were assaulted and had their cash and coin purses taken. Both victims sustained minor injuries.
- March 15: North Roxboro location (again). Another employee had their cash and coin purse snatched at the drive-thru. The suspect fled on foot. No injuries were reported in this robbery.
One suspect is described as a male approximately 6’3” – 6’5” tall, with a slim, athletic build.
The second suspect is a male approximately 5’9” tall and 150 pounds, with an athletic build.
Durham police did not provide the ages of either person allegedly involved in the robberies.
Police are looking for a newer model, compact black sedan believed to be connected to the robberies.
All three robberies are under investigation.
