Duke falls to Cavs in Game 2 of NCAA super regional, Game 3 set for noon Sunday

Charlottesville, Va. — Duke (39-23) baseball fell to Virginia (49-13), 14-4 on Saturday afternoon at Disharoon Park in Charlottesville, Va., setting up a winner take all game Sunday at noon.
Graduate transfer Alex Gow was pegged with the loss, falling to 3-4 on the season, after working 3.1 innings. Freshman Tyler Albright and junior Luke Storm both finished the day 3-for-4 and drove in a pair of RBI.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Virginia opened the scoring in the top of the first inning, 1-0.
The Cavaliers added to their lead in the top of the second, 3-0.
In the top of the fourth, Virginia added to its lead, 4-0.
Junior Luke Storm plated a pair for Duke in the bottom of the fourth inning, doubling to left center field, 4-2. Graduate student Damon Lux doubled down the line in left, 4-3.
Virginia added to their lead in the top of the fifth, 8-3.
The Cavaliers added to their lead in the top of the sixth, 10-3.
Virginia tacked on four more runs in the top of the eighth, 14-3.
Lux singled up the middle in the bottom of the eighth, scoring Tyler Albright from second, 14-4.
NOTES
Freshman Tyler Albright recorded his 14th multi-hit game of the season and his second three-hit game of the campaign. Albright finished the day 3-for-4 with two RBI.
Graduate student Aaron Beasley worked a clean inning in relief for the Blue Devils, tallying one strikeout.
Junior Luke Storm tallied his 18th multi-hit game of the season and his fifth three-hit game of the campaign. Storm finished the day 3-for-4 with two RBI.
