Driver of pickup truck injured in tractor trailer crash near Wilson

A crash involving two tractor trailers and a pickup truck closed a portion of U.S. Highway 264 in Wilson County on Wednesday.

The WRAL Breaking News Tracker was at the scene before 8 a.m. Two truck drivers were expected okay, but the person in the pickup truck was taken to a hospital.

There was no update on that driver's condition.

Officials said the crash occurred before 8 a.m. in the westbound lanes when the truck hit an overpass.

The westbound lanes of U.S. 264 were closed between Downing Road and N.C. Highway 42. At 8:30 a.m., crews were working to remove the tractor trailers from the highway.
