Driver dies in crash at Smithfield house

A driver died Wednesday after wrecking a car into a house in Smithfield, Johnston County sheriff's officials said.

The wreck happened near the intersection of Packing Plant and Old Olive roads.

The state Highway Patrol is investigating.

No other information was released.
