Driver crashes into church after hitting power pole in Fayetteville

The driver of a truck collided with a power pole and subsequently crashed into a church on Friday morning in Fayetteville.

The crash happened in the 800 block of Person Street. Police said a PWC truck went into the King Street Church of God after hitting the pole, which was broken in half.

Debris from the crash surrounded the building.

Crews are working to replace the pole and remove power lines from the road.

Person Street is closed between Eastern Boulevard and Broad Street while crews work to replace the utility pole. The road is expected to be closed for several hours.

It's not known if there are any injuries from the crash.
