Double homicide investigation: 2 people found shot to death in Cumberland County home

Two people were found shot to death inside a Cumberland County home on Saturday night.

The sheriff's office was originally responding to an overdose call near Sambo Jackson Road in Wade, shortly after 9 p.m.

When deputies arrived, they found two adults with gunshot wounds.

Both victims died at the scene.

Their names have not been released, and it's unclear what lead up to the shooting.

Law enforcement were on the scene for hours afterwards investigating the double homicide.
