DOT to close bridge over Lake Michie for maintenance
The state Department of Transportation will be performing preventative maintenance between Archery Range Road and Roberts Road in Durham County. It is expected to last about a week.
The bridge over Lake Michie on Bahama Road (State Road 1616) will be closed starting Monday, if the weather permits.

Motorists traveling east on Bahama Road needing to access Ellis Chapel Road should use the following detour: Bahama Road to Stagville Road (S.R. 1615) to Old Oxford Road (S.R. 1004) to Cassam Road (S.R. 1622) to Ellis Chapel Road.
Motorists traveling west will follow that route in reverse. The detour is clearly marked. It is orange on the map below.
