The Wake County Sheriff’s Office Impact Team discovered more than 400 pounds of marijuana in Raleigh Friday. The drugs had an estimated street value of $1.8 million, officials said.
Authorities arrested Victor Manuel Zavala Villanazul, 33, of 206 Lucy Court, Clayton, and Jose Ramon Alvarez Longoria, 29, of 4825 Reconciliation Drive, Raleigh.
They were charged with felony trafficking by possession and felony maintaining a residence, officials said.
Impact Team members said they found the drugs while investigating complaints of possible drug violations at Longoria’s house.
