A 15-year-old in Johnston County is accused of shooting and killing his 25-year-old brother, according to the Johnston County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies on Sunday around 6:15 p.m. responded to a home on South Pleasant Coates Road, near Benson.

Tracy Marshawn Davis, 25, who lived there, was shot at his home. He was transported to WakeMed, where he died from his injuries.

Davis' father told deputies his 15-year-old brother, who also lived in the home, was the shooter.

The teenager, who will not be named due to his age, was placed in secure custody and charged on a juvenile petition.

Investigators were at the home for more than four hours, taking photos and searching the home with flashlights. They also appeared to be gathering evidence from cars in the driveway.
