The Wake County Sheriff's Office was investigating a shooting at Falls Lake State Park Monday.

Deputies responded to the scene at the park's Beaver Dam entrance, 15000 Creedmoor Road, around 4:30 p.m.
Park officials said the deceased person was found in a picnic area.
