Deer causes multi-vehicle crash on I-540 West

Raleigh police said a deer is to blame for a multi-vehicle crash Tuesday night on Interstate 540 West.

Police said the deer ran into the roadway just after 11 p.m. near Glenwood Avenue.

No one was hurt. WRAL News is working to learn the number of vehicles involved in the crash.

The road was temporarily closed near Exit 4 at Glenwood Avenue, but the road has since been reopened.
