Daytime machete fight injures 2 men in Raleigh

Two men were injured Thursday in a fight involving a machete. One of the men was charged in the fight.

On Thursday around 3 p.m. the Raleigh Police Department responded to Wake Forest Road near Poplar Street.

At the scene, they found two men with non-life-threatening injuries from a weapon reported to be a machete.

Both men were transported to a hospital.

Brandon Young, 41, was arrested and charged with assault with a deadly weapon.

Warrants describe the weapon as a "machete with a wooden handle and approximately 1 foot long blade."

The investigation is ongoing and additional charges may be possible.

Police said the Young knew the other man and the incident was isolated.
