The dancing doctors at UNC Children's Hospital are back!

This year's video is an homage to Pediatric Oncologist Dr. Stuart Gold who will be retiring this year.

Led by Dr. Gold, the physicians at UNC Children's released its annual music video to thank the dedicated team at the Chapel Hill hospital.

The music parody video, set to "(I've Had) The Time of My Life" from the movie "Dirty Dancing," is also a swan song for Dr. Gold, who is retiring after 35 years of treating young cancer patients.

Highlights from this year’s video include another round of dancing on the hospital helipad. There’s also a parody of the iconic "Dirty Dancing" leap and lift, with pediatric ICU Medical Director Dr. Benny Joyner doing his best to hoist Dr. Gold into the air.

"I hope everyone recognizes that scene, even if my dancing isn’t nearly as fabulous as Patrick Swayze’s," Dr. Gold said. "I appreciate everyone on our team who spent a couple of days filming this year’s video. We all work so hard caring for patients and their families, and it’s a way to give back with something fun."

Dr. Gold began orchestrating funny music videos a few years ago and made viral celebrities out of the UNC Children’s dancing doctors. Last year’s video was set to "Celebration" by Kool & the Gang.

"Congratulations to Dr. Stuart Gold on his 35 years of service with us in pediatric oncology, and his upcoming retirement," the hospital said in a press release. "Thank you to our entire team for all their hard work!"
