Cumberland County ambulance collides on emergency run, Highway Patrol investigates

North Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating a Friday night accident involving an ambulance in Cumberland County.

The crash occurred at the intersection of Loop Rd and Colliers Chapel Church Rd in Linden.

At the time of the incident, the ambulance was responding to a call with the local fire department and had no patients on board.

In a statement Cape Fear Medical Center says :

“A Cape Fear Valley Health ambulance was involved in a two vehicle accident on Friday evening. No patients were on board at the time and there were no serious injuries sustained by ambulance staff. The safety of our team and the public is our top priority, and we are actively cooperating with authorities to investigate the incident further. We appreciate the swift response and support from emergency services.”
