Crews search for missing boater in Roxboro

Crews searched Mayo Lake in Roxboro for a missing boater on Monday afternoon, Person County Sheriff Dewey Jones said.

Two men were out on the lake in a canoe when it capsized. One of the men was able to get to shore and call 911.

The names of the boaters have not been released.

Jones said crews were planning to resume the search on Tuesday morning.
