Crews fix downed power lines, reopen NC 501 in Durham County

Authorities reopened N.C. Highway 501 between Bahama Road and Quail Roost Saturday morning after crews fixed low-lying power lines.

The road was closed at about 9 p.m. Friday night after strong winds brought down four lines.

The road reopened at about 5 a.m. Saturday.
