Lanes reopened after crash on I-40 East near New Hope Church Road

There was a crash Sunday afternoon on I-40 East at Exit 264 near New Hope Church Road in Orange County.

All eastbound lanes were closed, but are now open. As of 2 p.m., the shoulder and all lanes are open.

Traffic was starting to back up through the 10-mile stretch of Exit 260 and Exit 270 where I-40 and 15-501 meet.

Traffic should start to clear up, but it may be a good idea to take an alternate route, just in case.
