Crash causes major delays on I-40 East at Aviation Parkway in Raleigh

A crash on Interstate 40 East closed multiple lanes Tuesday, with delays up to an hour reported.

The crash was reported on I-40 at Exit 285 for Aviation Parkway.

Three eastbound lanes were blocked at 7 a.m.

Delays up to an hour were reported between Raleigh and Harrison Avenue in Cary.

Drivers should seek an alternate route.
