Thursday Wrap: Coronavirus cases, challenges to Cooper's response continue to build

As thousands gather in the streets to protest the death of George Floyd in police custody – in violation of the governor's limits on large gatherings and the advice of medical experts on the spread of the novel coronavirus – the challenges to those limits are also building.

Cooper faces challenges in court and from the state legislature, which is moving toward overrides of his executive order which keeps some businesses, especially bars, gyms and fitness studios closed for at least another couple weeks.
