The leaders were also told state government has ordered $46 million worth of medical supplies -- particularly personal protective gear for medical personnel, according to Emergency Management Director Mike Sprayberry. The personal protective gear hospitals have been seeking has been in critically short supply -- as they get ready for an expected surge of patients.
