BJ's Wholesale Club is allowing customers to use paper coupons again as of August 6, 2020.

According to the BJ's website, "Paper Coupons are Back! As of August 6, 2020, paper coupons – those issued by BJ’s or straight from manufacturers – are once again redeemable in BJ’s Clubs. As always, digital coupons can be found at BJs.com/myCoupons or through our mobile app.

BJ's announced on March 30, 2020 that they would stop accepting paper coupons during the COVID-19 pandemic for safety reasons. They still offered the coupons from the BJ’s Savings Book in a clipless version.

The company indicated in a statement, "As part of our efforts to do everything we can to safely serve Members’ needs, we have made the decision to temporarily suspend the use of paper coupons in our clubs in order to reduce touchpoints and help mitigate the spread of coronavirus. For the safety of Members and our Team Members, until further notice our clubs will not be accepting any paper coupons beginning on March 30, 2020."

Here in the Triangle, grocery stores continued to accept paper coupons as usual during the pandemic so it is no surprise that BJ's finally went back to accepting them, as well.
