Chinese Lantern Festival adds New Year's fireworks display

In its second year at Cary's Koka Booth Amphitheater, the N.C. Chinese Lantern Festival will get brighter than ever on New Year's Eve.

The event, featuring nearly two dozen displays, is at Booth Amphitheatre in Cary runs through Jan. 15.

In its second year at Cary's Koka Booth Amphitheater, the N.C. Chinese Lantern Festival will get brighter than ever on New Year's Eve.

Fireworks will launch over Symphony Lake at approximately 9:30 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 31. The show is included in the normal price of admission to the festival ($10 for ages 3-17 and $15 for adults).

Festival hours are Tuesdays through Sundays from 6 to 10 p.m. through Jan. 15.
