Cooking for a Classic dessert on the third night of competition.

The chefs are set for the final round of the Cooking for a Classic.

Teddy Diggs of Coronato will be taking on buku's Andrew Smith on Monday night at 1705 East in Raleigh.

In its third year, Cooking for a Classic brings together eight top Triangle chefs. Held over a two-week span, the chefs compete against each other in a bracket-style competition, serving up appetizers, entrees and desserts. Votes from the public determine which chef will advance to the finals with a chance to win a 1981 Jeep Scrambler or $15,000 in cash.

The dinners are open to the public, and the best part is that the entire competition is a fundraiser for the Lucy Daniels Center, which provides mental health services to children and their families.

Some tickets remain for Monday's finale but are going fast.
