Dr. Cohen visits UNC School of Medicine students to speak about importance of strong health workforce

Dr. Mandy Cohen, the CDC Director in Atlanta, is back in the Triangle to talk with students at the UNC School of Medicine.

Dr. Cohen is in the Triangle to celebrate "Match Day" with students at the UNC School of Medicine and talk with them about the importance of building a strong health workforce.

On Friday, UNC medical students will find out which residency program they've been matched with.

"I remember that 20 years ago for myself," Dr. Cohen said. "So it's a big day."

She said she's thrilled to talk to some of the future leaders of health care.

"I'm excited to say thank you to folks for choosing a life of service," Cohen said. "We need them here in this country."
