Cary road temporarily reopened after water main break

The Town of Cary has temporarily reopened the eastbound lanes of SW Maynard Road from Kilmayne Drive to Kildaire Farm Road while crews work to repair a water main that broke late Tuesday.

The eastbound lanes will close again once a contractor arrives at the scene, probably around 9 a.m., town officials said.

Access to Kilmayne Drive from Kildaire Farm Road is limited. Delays are expected Wednesday morning, and police will be on-site directing traffic.

"These traffic conditions will be effective through the morning commute, and drivers should consider taking an alternate route," town officials said in a news release.
