Cary Police Target Speeders on N.C. 55

Police on Thursday began a crackdown on dangerous drivers on N.C. Highway 55.

In the third round of Operation Patient Payoff, Cary police plan to target drivers who are speeding or tailgating along N.C. 55 between Green Hope School Road and Turner Creek Road.

Officers issued almost 140 citations in two previous campaigns that focused on U.S. Highway 1 from Walnut Street to Cary Parkway.
