Cary police nab suspected bank robber

Police on Wednesday charged a Cary man in the robbery of a Wachovia bank last month.

Othello Burnette Blue Jr., 45, of 418 Pony Club Circle, was charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon.

The Wachovia branch at 10050 Green Level Church Road was robbed on Dec. 20 by a man who fled the bank in a dark blue Ford SUV with a roof rack and minor damage to the rear bumper, police said.

Police didn't disclose how they linked Blue to the crime.
