A 28-year-old Cary man was arrested Monday after allegedly harassing police officers.

William Baker, of 500 N. Benson Court, was charged with disorderly contact, resisting police officers and making harassing phone calls.

According to the arrest warrant, the charges stem from an incident at Baker’s home earlier in the day.

After police arrived at the residence to investigate a possible domestic violence call, Baker used offensive language and gestures to try and intimidate the officers, the warrant stated.

After the incident, he repeatedly made harassing phone calls to the Cary 911 center, the warrant stated.

Baker was being held Monday in the Wake County Jail under a $5,000 bond.
