Carnival stops at Cross Creek Mall through May 16

If bumper cars, merry-go-rounds and a funhouse sound like the perfect way to spend the day, head down to Cross Creek Mall in Fayetteville.

The mall is hosting Michael's Carnival with 15 rides, an assortment of carnival games and lots of options for food, including funnel cakes, cotton candy, roasted turkey legs and snow cones.

The carnival will be at the mall through Sunday, May 16. Tickets are $1 each, 25 for $20 or a one-day unlimited wristband for $25.

Hours are 5 p.m. to 11 p.m., weekdays, and 1 p.m. to 11 p.m., weekends. It's in the parking lot next to Macy's.

Along these same lines, it's worth noting that the N.C. State Fairgrounds will host another food festival from May 21 to May 23. You'll also be able to pick up some discounted tickets to this year's fair, which is planned in October.
