Caregiver accused of stealing from 93-year-old widow

The caregiver for a 93-year-old widow has been accused of stealing and using her credit cards, according to the Wayne County Sheriff's Office.

Jamie Nichols Cisneros, 24, of 1891 Rosewood Road in Goldsboro, faces one count of exploitation of a disabled or elder adult and two counts of felony financial transaction card fraud.

Investigators said that Cisneros used the woman's credit cards to pay for numerous goods and services over two years. The widow's relatives became suspicious when they noticed questionable charges to the QVC shopping network around the Christmas holidays, investigators said.

Cisneros was placed in the Wayne County jail under a $9,000 bond.
