Cameron man faces kidnapping, sex charges

A Cameron man was arrested Tuesday on charges that he had sex with a 13-year-old girl, authorities said.

Dominique Elliott Ross, 20, of 115 Annie Place, was charged with two counts each of second-degree kidnapping, statutory rape, indecent liberties with a minor, sexual battery and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. He was being held Thursday in the Moore County Detention Center under a $250,000 secured bond.

The girl's parents told investigators that she had been in contact with an older man on their computer and that they suspected a relationship had developed, authorities said.
