Advertising agency McKinney is extending its lease at the American Tobacco Campus by seven years through the year 2021.

The ATC is owned by Capitol Broadcasting.

Financial terms were not disclosed.

McKinney relocated to the ATC from Raleigh five years ago. The agency leases 55,000 square feet of space.

“We needed space that would inspire our ability to create game-changing ideas that delivery extraordinary results,” said McKinney Chief Operating Officer Joni Madison. “Space that would help us connect and collaborate with each other and nurture a culture of possibility. We found it at ATC, and we’re as excited to be here as we were on Day One.”

McKinney was among the first major tenants at the vastly revamped former tobacco manufacturing complex.

"We're proud to be part of McKinney's success,” said CBC’s Michael Goodmon, who is vice president of real estate. And we look forward to partnering with other businesses to write their success stories."
