Target to close north Raleigh store

Target officials said Monday that the retail chain would close one of its Raleigh stores in January.

The Target at 4700 Green Road will close on Jan. 28. All eligible employees are being offered the option to transfer to nearby Target stores, officials said.

The store opened in 1995, but officials said its financial performance warranted that it be closed.
