Break-ins reported in Cary neighborhood

Police said Tuesday they are investigating a series of break-ins in a Cary neighborhood.

Someone broke into several homes near Castalia Drive over the weekend and took weapons, electronics and tools. No one was home at the time of the crimes.

Anyone with information that could assist investigators should contact the Cary Police Department at 919-469-4012 or Cary Crime Stoppers at 919-226-2746.

Crime Stoppers pays up to $2,500 for information leading to the arrest or indictment of those responsible for certain types of crimes.

Over the past year, Cary police have responded to 209 residential forced-entry burglaries, they said.
