A 5-year-old boy was listed in good condition Monday morning at WakeMed after he was struck by a sport utility vehicle at a school bus stop near Fuquay-Varina, authorities said.

Louis Gonzalez, of 2025 Optimist Farm Road, was waiting for a bus with his older sister and other children near the intersection of Optimist Farm and Johnston Pond roads at about 7:45 a.m. when he ran in front of an SUV, authorities said.

Investigators said the driver was going 30 miles per hour in a 45-mph zone.

No charges will be filed in the case, authorities said.
