Boy, 8, hit by truck in Durham

An 8-year-old boy was struck by a truck on East Geer Street late Wednesday morning, Durham police said.

Police said the boy was running across the street when he was hit by an Edgewood Property truck. The boy's injuries were believed to be non-life-threatening.

East Geer Street was closed near Rosetta Drive while police investigated.
