Body recovered from Jordan Lake identified as missing Cary man

A body recovered Friday near Farrington Point Boat Ramp at Jordan Lake has been identified as Tommie Columbus Justice Jr., 69, of Cary, who was reported missing after kayaking.

Chatham County authorities said they are searching for Tommie Justice Jr., 69, of Cary, who was reported missing Thursday afternoon after kayaking on Jordan Lake.

A body recovered Friday near Farrington Point Boat Ramp at Jordan Lake has been identified as Tommie Columbus Justice Jr., 69, of Cary, who was reported missing after kayaking.

A spokeswoman with Chatham County said Justice was last seen about 12:20 p.m. Thursday. A witnesses reported a kayak upside down in the water, and the vessel was later identified as belonging to Justice.

No other information was released.
