Body pulled from Cape Fear
A car, reported missing from Robeson County in 2001, was found with human remains inside.
The Bladen County Sheriff’s Office pulled human remains from the Cape Fear River Friday after some fishermen reported seeing a pickup truck hit the water.
The fishermen told authorities that they heard a splash and saw the truck float by as they fished from a bridge, Maj. Philip Little said.
Divers found the truck, empty, but their search turned up another vehicle as well.
Little said a car, reported missing from Robeson County in 2001, was found with human remains inside. The identity of the person has not yet been released.
