Body found in shallow grave in Oxford
A man told officers he found what looked to be a makeshift grave behind an abandoned house at the end of 4th Street in Oxford. Officers went to the area, removed some debris from a dirt pile and found part of a body protruding from the dirt, police said.

A man told officers he found what looked to be a makeshift grave behind an abandoned house at the end of 4th Street. Officers went to the area, removed some debris from a dirt pile and found part of a body protruding from the dirt, police said.
The State Bureau of Investigation was called in to help process the scene, and police were interviewing the man who found the grave. Police said he isn't a suspect in the case.
The body hasn't been identified, and the cause of death hasn't been determined.
