Blast from past: First grade library card returned to Raleigh principal
Love this!
I came across this tweet from @WCPSS, also known as Wake County Public School System, when they retweeted the original Monday from a Raleigh elementary school principal.
This was sent to me via courier today. It is the library card from a book I checked out on March 9, 1983 when in first grade. @WCPSS pic.twitter.com/TKzYtq9b0K

The original tweet came from Shane Barham, who is principal of the new Rogers Lane Elementary School in Raleigh. The school is slated to open in August.
The book he checked out, "The Sesame Street Bedtime Storybook," published in 1978, features 12 stories starring the Sesame Street Muppets, according to Amazon.com.
Now Barham's getting ready for a school full of grade schoolers, who will be scanning those library books, not writing their names on library cards.
Still, as @WCPSS noted when it shared the tweet, "It all comes full circle!"
