Bicyclist hit by car in southwest Durham

A bicyclist was in the hospital Wednesday morning after being hit by a car overnight in southwest Durham.

It happened around midnight at the intersection of NC Highway 54 and Farrington Road.

The victim was riding on NC-54, and the driver said he didn’t see him.

The driver’s windshield was shattered.

The victim is expected to make a full recovery.

The driver stayed on the scene, and police said no charges are expected to be filed.
