Beyoncé announces one NC stop on upcoming tour

Get into formation. Beyoncé has announced the dates for the "Renaissance World Tour."

The singer's website posted the tour schedule on Wednesday. It is set to kick off in May in Stockholm, Sweden, and travel through Europe before returning to the United States in July.

The tour currently only has one North Carolina stop -- Aug. 9 in Charlotte at Bank of America Stadium.

Beyoncé last played Raleigh in 2016 during her "Formation World Tour."

The tour is in support of the singer's seventh album, "Renaissance," which dropped over the summer. The album is up for several Grammy Awards this weekend.

Beyoncé is currently tied with her husband Jay-Z, for the most Grammy nominations in history, according to the awards. They each have 88 nominations. The singer has won four Grammy awards in her career.
