Taken at Buffalo Brothers Pizza & Wing. Comment: Yummy

As a north Raleigh resident, I am always seeking out great new places to dine close to home. Since not everyone lives in downtown Raleigh, I wanted to put together a special five faves all about north Raleigh.

Here are my favorite spots to grab a bite:

Winston's Grille (Falls of Neuse) – Located off Falls of Neuse Road, this place is consistently great! I have never had a bad meal here. The service is great and the rotisserie chicken is fall off the bone tender and seasoned perfectly. And did I mention their homemade desserts? Get a reservation if you want to have dinner on a Friday or Saturday night.

Nantucket Grill (Falls River Avenue) – Located just off of Durant Road, this menu has something for everyone and it is all prepared fresh. I recommend the fried shrimp or the stuffed shrimp. Go on Saturday night and adults get a free half-slice of their famous Mile-High cake in any flavor along with their entree purchase. So good!

Milton's (Six Forks Road) – With locations in Wakefield and off of Six Forks Road, Milton's is a great place for the entire family. We love their pizza, pasta and sandwiches – but mainly go there for their lunch buffet! A great deal with lots of selections.

Poppyseed (Six Forks Road) – Their sandwiches are so good. A great place for lunch. I highly recommend their grilled pimento cheese.

Buffalo Brothers Pizza and Wing Company (Capital Boulevard) – Hands down my favorite area sports bar and grill. I could eat their wings every day! They have locations on Capital Boulevard and Lake Boone Trail in Raleigh and a huge location in Wake Forest.

Honorable mention: Relish (Creedmoor) – The Out and About team is hooked on their mac and cheese skillets! Check them out off of Creedmoor Road.
