First dates aren't easy. Sometimes you need something to break the ice - and we have five places that a perfect spots for a first date.

In no particular order:

Dave and Buster's (Cary) - With a full bar and host of arcade and other games, this is a great place to loosen up and get to know each other. Get cozy while trying take out monsters in Dark Escape 4D or battle it out with some skee-ball.

Paraclete XP indoor skydiving (Fayetteville) - If you know your date is an adventure junkie, this is probably perfect! A few minutes in one of these indoor wind tunnels is the equivalent of a day of skydiving - without having to jump out of a plane!

Hard Knocks Laser Tag (Raleigh) - Battle it out at this laser tag arena in north Raleigh. The facility has several different rooms with various settings (office and warehouse). A great way to lighten the mood and get to know each other better.

Kings North Hills (Raleigh) - Bowling, shuffleboard, pool and air hockey are just a few of the reasons to check this place out on a first date. They also have great drinks and shareable apps.

Bull City Homebrew (Durham) - Make your own beer or wine during one of their weekend classes. Fun and you get to leave with your own wine or beer!
