Benson man charged with having sex with family pet

A Benson man has been charged with having sex with Drake, his family's 1½-year-old boxer, according to arrest warrants.

David Lee Carter, 25, of 201 William Drive, was charged with three counts of crime against nature. The warrants state the "abominable and detestable crime" allegedly occurred over the weekend.

Carter also is charged with two counts of indecent liberties with a child. The Johnston County Sheriff's Office said those charges were filed because a child witnessed the alleged crime.
