You can help bring joy to the life of a senior in Triangle this year via the "Be a Santa to a Senior" program.

In its 19th year, the program features holiday trees with ornaments featuring seniors' first names and their desired gifts. The trees will be up through Monday, Dec. 5 at the following locations:

Gifts should be returned unwrapped to the location the ornament was selected.

Gift requests are typically necessities like blankets, toiletries, slippers, stationery and postage stamps.

The program was created by Home Instead Senior Care and is an effort to support seniors who might otherwise feel isolated or lonely during the holiday season.
